The newest trick

I've finally figured out how to climb up onto the couch all by myself. I usually pull all the cushions and pillows off, but this makes for a softer landing when I fall off. Plus it makes Mom feel a little better about my new trick.

My new room

Mom and Dad cleaned out the spare bedroom today and moved all my toys and toy box in there. Now I have my very own Toy Room. This way I don't have to pick up my toys each night before bed.
I spend a lot of time in my new toy room. It even has a television in it so I can watch cartoons.

Holiday Parade

Today was the first day of hog butchering, but instead of helping with that Mom and Aunt E took us kids to the Holiday Parade in Columbia. It was a little chilly, but once the parade started we forgot about the cold. We saw all kinds of bands, floats and at the end we got to see Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Farm fun

Grandma stayed in the cabin with me this morning so Mom and Dad could go out and hunt. Even though they came back without a deer, I was still excited to see them.

The weather was so nice today so after we ate breakfast we went outside and played for a while. I think I need to throw another log on the bon fire, don't you?

I don't know what it was about this little piece of wood, but I had to pack it everywhere.

Uncle Jeff left the tractor sitting out and guess what? I found it. It has some pretty big tires, much bigger than me.

After lunch, it was time to head home. I had so much fun playing at the farm this weekend. In a couple years I'll be able to hunt with Mom and Dad. I didn't even make it off the first gravel road before I was out. Man that playing is hard on ya.

Spending time at the farm

Mom and Dad came home and picked me up today and I got to go back up to the farm with them to hunt. Dad stayed in the cabin with me tonight so Mom, Uncle Jeff and Grandma could go hunting. Rowdy was up there too. He was trying to rest and I wanted to play.

After everyone got back in from hunting, we had supper and then got to play some more. Uncle Jeff tried to lay down and rest for a little while, but not without me.

Getting ready for the big hunt

Mom was packing her bags tonight so her and Dad could head to the farm for the first weekend of deer season. I spotted this blaze orange hat and thought it was just my style. Whada ya think?

How to ride a horse

Mom was trying to show me how to ride a horse tonight. She got tired so they were trying to get me to ride on Uncle Jeff's back for a while.
Grandma was trying to show me how. Uncle Jeff was laughing so hard he couldn't hold his head up.
I finally decided to give Uncle Jeff a try. After a few "umph's" I got up on his back.
Got settled into my seat and started ridin'. I even gave him a few good slaps on the side to try to get him up.
By the end of my riding lesson, we were both tired and crashed. I'm not sure when I'll ride again.

Chow time

Uncle Jeff came over tonight and while I was eating he kept telling me to hurry up so I could get down and play with him. Grandma brought his dinner a little later and when he was trying to eat, I wanted to play. He finally let me sit on his lap while he was eating. I tried to snitch a few bites, but he wouldn't let me.
I had just as much fun just sitting up there with him. As soon as he finished eating we got to play.

Happy Halloween

Today was Halloween and I got to go trick or treating. Dad took off work and went with us. We made several different stops around town.
Our first stop was Memaw and Pawpaw's house. They couldn't stop laughing at my costume, they thought it was too cute. Pawpaw kept trying to teach me the chicken dance.
Cowboy Trenton and Indian Blaine came over and we all went trick or treating together. We all looked pretty cute in our costumes.

Dad's home

Dad left yesterday morning to go to the farm for a guys weekend. I was so excited to see him when he got home today.
After lunch we played in the floor until it was time to lay down for a nap.
Whoa horsey...Dad tried to tell me that he wasn't a horse, but I sure had fun bouncin' around on him. I think Dad was glad when it was nap time, he wanted to catch up on some sleep too.
