The Magic Tree

Mom and Dad took me to see the Magic Tree on Christmas. It has over 76,000 lights on it. It was really pretty, but kind of hurt your eyes to look at it.

Christmas Eve

Tonight we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa's house. There were so many presents I couldn't believe it.
It got pretty late and I was getting sleepy so I laid down on Aunt Carol's new blanket.

Aunt Carol got me this really loud thing that you blow in. I was able to make noise right off the bat. Maybe one day I can play in the band.

Get that cookie

Today when I got up from my nap, Mom gave me a cookie. I got out one of her bowls and was putting my cooking in the bowl, then tipping it up trying to make the cookie land in my mouth. After a couple of tries, I finally got it.

Bath time

Dad caught me and Mom playing in the tub tonight. If they would let me, I think I would stay in here all day.

I love the water. It doesn't even bother me to get it in my face. Mom said she hopes I still like the water when summer gets here so we can go swimming.

Christmas at Memaw and Pawpaw's

I got my very own pedal tractor with a wagon. It's a tradition for all the boys to get pedal tractors and this year Blaine and I each got one.

Look who showed up and Christmas. Us kids weren't too sure about Santa at first, but then he told us he had brought us presents.

Before he left, we all got our picture taken with him. That Santa sure was nice. I hope he comes back next year.
Blaine took me for a ride in his wagon. This summer will be lots of fun when we can play with our tractors outside.

Lydia got a portable DVD player. She was watching Hannah Montana and let me watch with her.

Christmas at Grandma Pat's

Tonight we had Christmas at Grandma Pat's. Mom and Dad let me pull the goodies out of their stockings.
There were so many presents to open, it took us quite a while.

I took a break while everyone else opened their presents. I saved my two biggest ones for the very end.

Uncle Jeff got me this camo 4 wheeler. He said he would like to get me a real one, but I'm not quite old enough yet.

I must have been good this year

Santa came to our house last night. Mom and Dad said he had to come early because he had so many places to go. I had so much fun opening all of my presents.

Santa brought me this big bouncy castle. It's filled with balls and has a bouncy floor in it.

I really like my castle. I have so much fun bouncin' around inside. I like to play peek-a-boo through the holes in the walls.

This is the front door of my castle. I'm glad I won't outgrow this for a while.

Look at me

This is a new trick I've learned. I think I'm pretty big stuff when I stand up on my tractor. Mom's afraid I'm gonna fall off, but so far I haven't.

My First Snow

Today is the first day that we have snow and since I was too little to remember the snow last year, Mom wanted to take me out in it to see what I thought. I've got so many clothes on, I can barely move.

Mom put me on the sled and pulled me over to Grandma's house. I wasn't quite sure what to think of that cold air blowing in my face. My sled and snow boots were supposed to be Christmas presents, but Mom had to get them out early.

When we got to Grandma's I got to play in the snow for a few minutes.

Every time I fell down, it took me a while to get stood back up. These snow pants really make it hard to get around, but they sure keep me warm. Hopefully tomorrow it won't be quite so cold out so we can play a little longer outside. Mom and Dad want to take me sledding down the big hill.

Livin' like Eskimos

We had a really bad Ice Storm last night and it caused our power to go out early this morning. We're not sure when it's going to be back on. We can't get a weather report since the TV and radio don't work, so we're just trying to stay warm and watch the weather out the front window. You can see in the picture that Mom put sweats on me OVER my pj's to keep me warm.
I thought I should even put my coat on. It got pretty chilly in the house with no heat.
We had to go to Grandma's for lunch since she has a gas stove we could cook on. We came back home for nap time. It was even colder in the house when I got up from my nap, so Uncle Jeff cuddled with me for a while under the big blanket. We ended up spending the night at Aunt E's house because Uncle John hooked a generator up to their furnace for some heat. After 24+ hours, our power finally came back on.

Bouncy Bounce

Mom caught Dad and I bouncing on the bed in the toy room. Dad would bounce me for a minute and when he stopped, I kept bouncing. I think I was kind of hurting his tummy.

My Christmas Tree

Mom and Dad put our Christmas Tree up today while I was taking a nap. They're so sneaky. I woke up and had a big surprise.

We turned the tree lights on and turned all the other lights off. I really like looking at all the pretty lights.

The newest trick

I've finally figured out how to climb up onto the couch all by myself. I usually pull all the cushions and pillows off, but this makes for a softer landing when I fall off. Plus it makes Mom feel a little better about my new trick.

My new room

Mom and Dad cleaned out the spare bedroom today and moved all my toys and toy box in there. Now I have my very own Toy Room. This way I don't have to pick up my toys each night before bed.
I spend a lot of time in my new toy room. It even has a television in it so I can watch cartoons.

Holiday Parade

Today was the first day of hog butchering, but instead of helping with that Mom and Aunt E took us kids to the Holiday Parade in Columbia. It was a little chilly, but once the parade started we forgot about the cold. We saw all kinds of bands, floats and at the end we got to see Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Farm fun

Grandma stayed in the cabin with me this morning so Mom and Dad could go out and hunt. Even though they came back without a deer, I was still excited to see them.

The weather was so nice today so after we ate breakfast we went outside and played for a while. I think I need to throw another log on the bon fire, don't you?

I don't know what it was about this little piece of wood, but I had to pack it everywhere.

Uncle Jeff left the tractor sitting out and guess what? I found it. It has some pretty big tires, much bigger than me.

After lunch, it was time to head home. I had so much fun playing at the farm this weekend. In a couple years I'll be able to hunt with Mom and Dad. I didn't even make it off the first gravel road before I was out. Man that playing is hard on ya.

Spending time at the farm

Mom and Dad came home and picked me up today and I got to go back up to the farm with them to hunt. Dad stayed in the cabin with me tonight so Mom, Uncle Jeff and Grandma could go hunting. Rowdy was up there too. He was trying to rest and I wanted to play.

After everyone got back in from hunting, we had supper and then got to play some more. Uncle Jeff tried to lay down and rest for a little while, but not without me.

Getting ready for the big hunt

Mom was packing her bags tonight so her and Dad could head to the farm for the first weekend of deer season. I spotted this blaze orange hat and thought it was just my style. Whada ya think?

How to ride a horse

Mom was trying to show me how to ride a horse tonight. She got tired so they were trying to get me to ride on Uncle Jeff's back for a while.
Grandma was trying to show me how. Uncle Jeff was laughing so hard he couldn't hold his head up.
I finally decided to give Uncle Jeff a try. After a few "umph's" I got up on his back.
Got settled into my seat and started ridin'. I even gave him a few good slaps on the side to try to get him up.
By the end of my riding lesson, we were both tired and crashed. I'm not sure when I'll ride again.

Chow time

Uncle Jeff came over tonight and while I was eating he kept telling me to hurry up so I could get down and play with him. Grandma brought his dinner a little later and when he was trying to eat, I wanted to play. He finally let me sit on his lap while he was eating. I tried to snitch a few bites, but he wouldn't let me.
I had just as much fun just sitting up there with him. As soon as he finished eating we got to play.
