A day at the beach

Saturday afternoon we went to the beach to play for a while. That was the biggest sand box I've ever seen.

Mom laid a blanket down for me to play on but I went straight for the sand. It felt so funny running thru my fingers. I finally crawled off the blanket and just rolled in the sand.

The water was a bit cool, but we still played in it for a little while. I kept trying to crawl out to the deep part and mom had to catch me.

Breakfast time

Saturday morning we got up and made a big breakfast. Aunt Erin says that is her favorite part of camping. We made biscuits and gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, and pancakes.

I got to eat some pancakes and scrambled eggs. The pancakes were my favorite.

My first camping trip

I got to take my first camping trip this weekend. We went to Long Branch State Park in Macon. The weather was kind of cool, but we had a good time.

Trenton decided to give Grandma a haircut with his plastic fork scissors.

Once it got dark, we built a fire and made s'mores. Dad let me snitch some of the marshmallows.

While Dad and I were eating marshmallows, the rest of the gang hung up the armadillo lights.

Day of fun

We had a family reunion today at Grandma and Grandpa's house. There were a lot of kids there.
The big pool was too crowded for the little guys so we swam in our own little pool.

Before we went around back to swim, Mom let me play in the bounce house. This was the funnest thing ever. Mom said it makes a great play pen.

I went in the back door and crawled all the way across to the front door.

Aunt Terri kept bouncing me around. Whenever she would stop bouncing, I tried to bounce myself.
I finally made it to the front door where the slide was. I think this was my favorite spot in the bounce house. I just stood against the slide and jumped. I fell down a couple of times, but it didn't hurt. It was like falling on a big pillow.

It was finally time for me to come down the slide. Look out...here I come.

Toes have much more flavor than cereal

Tonight when mom was feeding me cereal before bed, I kept trying to tell her that my toes tasted much better.

Bite of cereal, bite of toe, bite of cereal, bite of toe...

She finally let me snack on my toes for a while. After I sucked all the flavor out of them I finished my cereal.

Fun in the sun

We went swimming today in Grandma Cindy's big pool. I had fun watching my cousins jump and splash. I can't wait till I'm big enough to swim by myself.

Mom had to keep her hand in front of my face because I kept leaning forward trying to drink the water. I think that stuff has bones in it, I got choked every time.

Trip to the Zoo

Today my mom, a friend and my aunts took my cousins and I to the St. Louis Zoo. We had so much fun looking at all the different animals.

Mom took this picture at lunch. She said I looked like a monkey behind bars.

Here's some camels that we got to see. See the two little babies. When they stood up, they had some really long legs.

This giraffe was trying so hard to get some of the leaves for a snack. We watched him work really hard to reach them with his tongue and he finally was able to grab a few. I sure hope they tasted good, as hard as he worked for them.

This was a little black bear. He had just gotten out of the water from taking a dip to cool off.

Here's some alligators. They didn't move the whole time we were looking at them.

We got to see baboons. They were jumping around on the rocks playing with each other.

Here's the zebras. I think they were standing in the shade trying to stay cool.

Man the elephants were huge. We thought we were going to get to see some baby elephants but we were too late.

This is the biggest catfish I've ever seen. Today Dad and Uncle Jeff were in a fishing tournament. I wish they could have caught a cat this big, they would have won for sure.

Here's the seals. They were talking to us the whole time we watched them. They looked like they were having a lot of fun swimming around. Johnna kept saying she wished she could be swimming.

This is just one of the snakes that we saw. It's a good thing Uncle Jeff wasn't with us...he's terrified of snakes. He probably wouldn't have even gone in the reptile house.

We had so much fun today. I sure hope we get to go back sometime.

Toooo big

After I got my pj's on, mom and dad let me play a few minutes before bed.
Next thing mom knows, I'm standing up. I'm so big, I pulled myself up with a little bit of help from my dinosaur. Mom says I'm getting toooo big.
