First day of school

Today was my first full day at my new school. I will start full time there on Monday and can't wait. Mom and Dad decided it was time for me to start going to a real daycare and meet more kids my age. My cousins Trenton and Blaine are starting there with me. I know we're going to have lots of fun. Mom said she cried after she dropped me off this morning because I shouldn't be this big yet, but I'm going to be fine. Mom and Dad said I will start learning lots of new things and will make lots of new friends.

Random shots

Mom took this picture of me climbing on Dad. I like to sit up on his shoulders. Mom says I'm not afraid of heights and that worries her.

Here's some updated pictures of Laken. I was trying to get her to smile for Mom. She wasn't listening to me at first, but then she decided to give us a little grin.

Trying out the buggy

Today it was a little bit warmer outside and we were able to take my buggy out and ride in the yard. It will be even more fun this spring when Uncle Jeff gets his out and rides beside me. I wonder whose is faster?

Just like Mommy

This morning I watched Mommy clip and file her finger nails over the trash can. A little while later she came into the bathroom and look what she caught me doing...filing my nails...over the trashcan...just like Mommy.

Laken's Christmas bath

Dad took these pictures of Laken taking a bath before we headed to Aunt Jane's house for Christmas. She usually likes her bath, but was a little fussy this time. Once Mom got her wrapped up in the towel and got her warm, she was much better.

Christmas morning

This is the best gift that Santa brought me. My very own "buggy" just like the one Uncle Jeff has. I can't wait to get it outside and ride around the yard. I can load up the back and it even has a dump bed so I can dump my load out.

Santa also brought me these camo bibs. Dad says I get to wear them when we go hunting.

And some new blue jeans...yeehaw.

Christmas Eve

Tonight we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Grant's for Christmas Eve. I got this cool Aquadoodle mat. When we got home, Mom and Dad let me color for a while before bed. They said I couldn't stay up too late because Santa was coming.

The first day of Christmas

Today was the fist day of our Christmas activities. Laken wanted to lay naked for a while when we were trying to get ready to go.

Once we got there, she crashed. I had to open her present since she was sleeping.

Laken got a tea set and I got a train set.

Just a cute shot

Mom took this picture of Laken sleeping in her swing. She thought it was a cute shot of her holding her plug in her mouth.

A full lap

Mom caught Dad with a full lap tonight. He was feeding Laken and I wanted to help. I even held her for a while until she started getting squirmy, then I gave her back to Dad.

Growing girl

Here's an updated picture of Laken. She still isn't very photogenic.

Busy day

This morning Mom was working on a painting project and I wanted to paint too. Mom was painting with the real stuff, but she let me paint with pudding. It was a lot of fun. If I got any on me, I just licked it off.

This afternoon we put up our Christmas tree. Dad got it down out of the attic and I helped Mom set it up. We put the lights on and some of the ornaments. For some reason Mom and Dad put most of the ornaments at the top. I think they're trying to keep them out of reach.

She has arrived

Laken Emery Glascock joined our family on November 4, 2008. She weighed 6 pounds 1 ounce and was 19 inches long. As you can see she has some dark hair. Mommy and Daddy are hoping it stays dark.

Big brother just can't get enough of her. As soon as he saw her in the hospital he said "I hold." He loves to hold her, kiss her and lay his face against hers. Anytime he sees her sleeping during the day, he gets down close to her and says "BOO." I think he's trying to keep her awake so she'll sleep for Mom and Dad at night.

These are Mommy's two favorite people. What a pair. We wonder what kind of tricks Grayson is going to teach her in the future.

Fun day

Mom and Dad took me up to the playground at school to play today. This is the last weekend before Sissy gets here, I will get to meet her in 2 days. They wanted to make sure and spend lots of time with me this weekend before my world gets "turned upside down." I think things will be just fine and her and I will be good buddies. I can't wait to see her.

Happy Halloween

Here's our crew all dressed up in their costumes. From left to right is me, Courtney, Lydia, Blaine, Trent and Adam. Aren't we a scary bunch? We all went trick or treating together and got lots of candy.

A morning surprise

This morning when Mom and I got up to eat breakfast, we kept hearing a noise outside on the deck. Mom opened the blinds and we found a surprise. There was a little kitten on the deck. We think she was stuck and not sure how to get down. She hung around all morning and even tried to come into the house a couple of times. Dad and I finally took her down to Uncle John's barn and that's where she lives now. She is a really friendly cat and likes to play, but Mom didn't want her staying at our house.

Pumpkin carving

This morning we went down to Aunt Jo's and got some pumpkins. Dad picked out two big ones that we could carve. When we got home, we got out the tools we needed and sat out on the front porch and carved them. Mom kept trying to get me to stick my hand inside and pull out all of the seeds, but I wasn't too sure about it.
This is how they turned out. Dad said next year we need to buy a carving kit so we can make better faces on them. Tonight we get to put candles in them and light them to see how they look.

Goofin' off

Today I was goofin' off, just playing and Mom caught these pictures of me. It's a new thing that I've been wearing my hats backwards. I think they're easier to put on that way.

Behaving myself

This afternoon I was playing and Mom said things got really quiet. She was getting a little worried so she came to look for me and to see what kind of trouble I was getting into. When she found me, I was just laying on her bed behaving myself. I was making faces at the boy in the mirror and laughing. Mom said she loves the last picture of me. Sure makes me look innocent.

I can smell'em

Mom was baking cookies tonight before bed time. I could smell'em baking and thought if I just sat there and watched them, that they would bake faster.
